What to wear to Mickey’s Not so scary Halloween Party

During this fun, Halloween event at Disneyworld make sure to get the family all dressed up.

We decided to wear matching Disney T-shirts, while our little one got all decked out in her Halloween costume.

Be aware that it’s still very hot in Orlando in the fall. Our little one removed her costume shortly after we took some photos.

Make sure to bring extra clothes for the kids and a wet-dry bag to store them in, as well as a spray fan to keep cool.

It was so much fun to see everyone all dressed for this Halloween party.  Just be sure to read the costume guidelines on Disneyworld’s website.

Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular

One of our favorites was the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular. This show alone was worth visiting at the Halloween party.

Join the Sanderson Sisters and other Disney Villains, such as Maleficent, Cruella de Ville, and others in this spectacular evening show, which was so much fun!

Make sure to arrive at the Castle early to get a prime spot for viewing. We got front-row seats and it was spectacular.

The Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular shows are at 7:00 pm, 7:45 pm, 8:30 pm, 9:50 pm, and 10:30 pm at the Castle Forecourt Stage.

Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade

We also enjoyed Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade, with all the costumed characters. The parade starts out at Frontierland and ends on Main Street.

Get in the Halloween spirit as Mickey and his friends dazzle with this fun Halloween parade.

Some of the highlights were the Headless Horseman as he makes his way on Main Street, as well as Wreck-it Ralph and Vanellope lugging around on their candy float. It was so much fun, and there are two showtimes if you miss the first one.

The Boo To You Halloween Parade begins at Frontierland at 9:15 pm and again at 11:15 and ends on Main Street U.S.A.

Disney Junior Jam

During the MNSSHP in 2023, you can also look forward to the Disney Junior Jam dance party with some Disney Junior friends at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe.

We had fun with a similar dance party in 2019, at the Disney Descendants Party at the Starlight Cafe in Tomorrowland. There was also a fun Monstrous Scream-O-Ween Ball at the Rockettower Plaza Stage.

Trick or Treating at Disney World

The highlight of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is definitely the trick-or-treating, with trick-or-treat stations spread throughout the park.

Everyone can trick or treat during this event even the parents!

The trick-or-treat stations are marked with a lighted treats blow-up marker, and can easily be found using the official Halloween Party park map.

The lines at each trick-or-treat station are long but move fast enough. I wouldn’t monopolize all your time getting candy, as there are so many fun events going on around the parks.

Each trick-or-treat station gives out a big handful of candy, so even visiting a couple of stations is enough candy for the whole day.

*Make sure to bring a backpack to carry all the candy afterward!

Disney’s Not So spooky Spectacular

One of the main events at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular.

This evening fireworks, projections, and a laser light show feature a Not So Scary tale about Mickey Mouse and pals hosted by Jack Skellington.

The fireworks show was so amazing, and it was definitely the highlight of our visit to Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party!

Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular begins at 10:15

Other fun Halloween events at Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party

You can also expect a few rides with a Halloween twist at the Pirates of the Caribbean, Mad Tea Party, Space Mountain, and Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor.

There are also many character meet and greets throughout the event, and you can find specific locations on the official park map.

Don’t forget to sample some of the fun Halloween treats at the parks during the Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party.

When you pick up the official MNSSHP park map, you will find all these tasty treats marked.

We tasted the Amuck, Amuck, Amuck cupcake from Main Street bakery and it was definitely sweet. Be prepared for lots of frosting in this.

Don’t forget to pick up some MNSSHP merchandise, some of which can only be purchased during the event at Magic Kingdom.
