The Leaning Tower of Pisa

However, the city’s main attraction is its leaning tower. The tower’s tilt began during construction in the 12th century, caused by an inadequate foundation on ground too soft on one side to properly support the structure’s weight.

Since then it has been the city’s iconic landmark and draws tourists from all over the world to take the famous post card shot!

We had an amazing time in Pisa. Watching people try to take an original shot was the best entertainment. Some people think visiting the leaning tower is overrated, but it’s probably because they already saw it. I suggest visiting it once, and make the decision yourself.

We spent an afternoon here and got to tick off the leaning tower off our bucket list. If we had more time, we would’ve explored the city more and see what else it has to offer.
