Roadside Emergency Kit

One of the most important thing to have before you head out on your road trip is some kind of Roadside emergency assistance kit. This is one of the best gifts you could get for you, or any member of your family.

We love this Roadside Rescue kit from Amazon. It has everything you can think of in a car safety kit. Some of the highlights are the premium first aid kit, jumper cables, Tow strap, windshield breaker, and flashlights etc. It’s one of the most thorough roadside emergency kits out there!

Jump Starter

It’s also very important to have a jump starter handy just in case. Not only can this jump start your car, you can also use it to charge your devices! Love the two in one concept. We have something similar to this and it’s good to have one for peace of mind, especially on long road trips.

First Aid Kit

A first aid kit is one of the most essential things to have on any trip. This is one of the best things to give yourself or anyone on your list.

Another must have when driving long distances are polarized sunglasses. Polarized sunglasses reduce the glare from the sun and has a special filter that blocks this type of intense reflected light, reducing glare and discomfort.

Portable Phone Chargers

I believe it’s so important to travel with a portable phone charger for emergencies. Not only on road trips, but traveling in general.

We’ve had instances where we drained our phone batteries and had no backup for emergency situations. Lets face it, we are on our phones a lot taking photos, navigation, and of course on social media.

We love this Belkin portable charger and used it many times on our trips. It holds enough power to charge multiple devices and small enough to fit in your bag.

Comfortable Car seats for kids

Comfortable Car seats are so important, especially for long road trips. For older kids we love this Evenflo Big kid Booster car seat. Our little one uses this, and she loves that she can finally move around more.

Car Seat Organizer for Kids

When road tripping with kids, it’s so important to have everything they need at arms length.

You can easily stuff them with activity kits, water bottles and they’re snacks and toys.

Refillable water bottles

A refillable water bottle is a must for road trips and traveling in general. We love this Hydro Flask water bottle, and this one for the kids.

Not only does it keep your water cold, but it’s perfect to take along and refill along the way, instead of purchasing expensive water bottles, which is so bad for our environment.

Snack Containers

Having snacks organized makes road trips and traveling easy, especially when they’re this organized.

This portable and Stackable 4-Piece Twist Lock Panda Storage Jars Snack Container is something I wish I thought off during our road trips.

You can easily store dry snacks and fruits together, and is also perfect for baby foods and formula. We also love these reusable silicone snacks bags for travel as well.
